Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) thermo-priming resins known as Telene® have been introduced on the market in the early 1990s by BF Goodrich, Cleveland (USA).
They are now produced in Japan by RIMTEC and distributed in Europe by Telene sas, based in France.
The product is obtained by mixing two liquid components, the first of which contains a catalyst and the second a reaction activator. When these two components are mixed at high pressure using RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) technology, a metathesis process forms a polymer with particular physical and chemical characteristics that has been used in many industrial sectors.
